ABOUT US

In 2002 I got my first dog, the golden retriever Asta. I started training her to be a search and rescue dog. In 2005 yellow labrador Kali came to the house, with whom we trained diligently and passed all the exams that a rescue dog needs to obtain a license. We also successfully passed the test for obtaining an international license for rescue dogs - IRO. As the time approached when Kali would retire, I started thinking about a new dog.

In 2014 I got a beautiful yellow labrador Yaffa from the kennel Kornay Hunting. She and I also passed all the exams that need to be passed for a rescue dog. We diligently attend trainings at home and abroad, go on search interventions, donate blood…

With the purchase of the first labrador, the desire to have puppies awoke in me, but Kali couldn't have puppies. Desire lingered in me all the way to Yaffa, who turned out to be a caring mother. In the summer of 2017 we had our first litter. Yaffa gave birth to 8 puppies: 2 black and 6 yellow, 3 boys and 5 girls.

To my great joy, a yellow puppy named Ares stayed at home from the first litter, already training hard and taking exams for a rescue dog. We had a second litter in the spring of 2020. Yaffa gave birth to 7 puppies: 4 black and 3 yellow, 4 boys and 3 girls.

V novembru 2020 nas je zapustila moja prva labradorka Kali, malo preden je dopolnila 16 let. V našem domu prebiva tudi 11 letna Ayleen vom Kapinberg-Lili, ki je prav tako reševalni pes. Opravljene ima vse izpite in večkrat potrjeno mednarodno licenco. Je tudi članica EHI Ljubljana in državne enote MUSAR Slovenije.

We, Vesna Žagar and Dušan Weber are rescue dog handlers. Dušan is an international rescue dog instructor and one of the five chief instructors at the International Rescue Organization (IRO), an international assessor and mountain rescuer.

Dušan and I are still active, we each go to work. Our afternoons, however, are mostly commited to our dogs. From long walks, obedience training, training to search for the missing in nature and rubble at home and around the world.
